The BlueBelles are ultimately not a competitive choir. Quite frankly they would rather sing for tea and cake than for a judge. Nevertheless, sometimes it’s a good idea to step outside of your comfort zone and the occasional challenge, in the form of competition, is good for them. At least this is my view.
On Sunday we went bright and early to Basingstoke to sing at the Anvil Theatre in the regional heats of Choir of the Year 2016, having been selected to audition after sending in our application form.
Last week the BlueBelles took part in their first ever competition, the Mid Somerset Festival held in Bath at the Guildhall. This has been on our ‘to do list’ for quite some time.
