At the weekend, we all travelled to North Devon to share the stage with Barnstaple Male Voice Choir. This event had been about a year in the planning and came about after Jules recorded a CD with Barnstaple MVC last year.
October will be a busy month for us. First we are off on our travels to Barnstaple where we will be singing with the fantastic Barnstaple Male Voice Choir. This invitation came about a year or so ago when our Musical Director, Jules, recorded the Barnstaple men and produced a CD for them.
On Saturday 17 December the BlueBelles took part in a fantastic Christmas Concert in Marlborough College Chapel. The concert was arranged by Alison Netherclift and supported Hope for Homes for Children.
On Wednesday 14 December we will be singing at St Michael’s Without Church in Bath – the one opposite Waitrose as part of a Christmas Concert with The Forever Hounds Trust.
Last weekend, The BlueBelles were in Gloucestershire to perform at the Parish Church in Marshfield (where the ice cream comes from), alongside Blue Notes, The Sherlock Combs and Luana Godwin.
It’s always a pleasure to sing. Even better in such a beautiful location with an appreciative audience! How lucky we are to be able to have arranged this Afternoon of Jazz at Marlborough Town Hall last Sunday.
How lucky we are in Pewsey to be a part of such vocal talent. It was such a delight to be able to organise and take part in the Spring concert at St. John’s Church in Pewsey last Saturday.
On Sunday 18 October The BlueBelles were in Bristol singing at St George’s as part of the finale of the 2015 Bristol Festival of Song.
Last Sunday, The BlueBelles performed as part of a ‘Musical Matinee’ at the Pewsey Heritage Centre. On this occasion there were 6 of us, and the split was such we only had 1 singer on each of the inner parts (technically the Lead and the Baritone if you adopt strict barbershop terminology!).
Last night (26 September 2015), The BlueBelles performed at a concert entitled ‘Voices on the Hill” which took place in the Theatre on the Hill at St John’s College, Marlborough.
