Pewsey Heritage Centre is one of our favourite places to sing. Not just because of the lovely acoustic, but also because of the warm welcome we always receive here. This May, we returned for our third concert in this lovely venue and we were delighted to be performing to a packed house. Of course
Last weekend saw us once again at the Swindon bowl in the Old Town Gardens for the choir festival which was raising funds for Brighter Futures Radiotherapy Appeal.
The BlueBelles are ultimately not a competitive choir. Quite frankly they would rather sing for tea and cake than for a judge. Nevertheless, sometimes it’s a good idea to step outside of your comfort zone and the occasional challenge, in the form of competition, is good for them. At least this is my view.
It’s always a pleasure to sing. Even better in such a beautiful location with an appreciative audience! How lucky we are to be able to have arranged this Afternoon of Jazz at Marlborough Town Hall last Sunday.
Back in September, the BlueBelles were booked to sing for a couple of ‘corporate’ Christmas functions for the British Army. The first one was at Army HQ in Andover and this was followed a week later by a visit to sing for the Warrant Officers Christmas do at Buckley Barracks just on the edge of Chippenham in Wiltshire.
A wedding is a fantastic occasion. A chance to bring together all your family and friends to celebrate the best day of your life. Everyone gets to dress up. There’s likely to be a formal wedding ceremony, whether in a church or registry office, followed by a fantastic wedding reception with lots of good food and plenty of drink.
